When deciding to purchase my first home, I was overwhelmed, to say the least, and had an endless number of questions. Finding someone who would walk me through the intimidating process of financing a home, however, was an easy first step having come to trust Mutual Savings Association as my bank. Specifically, I feel compelled to thank Dru Wheatcroft for his assistance and expertise in completing my loan.

 

Had I not already been acquainted with the excellent customer service that comes with banking at Mutual, the vast differences in my experience versus those of a co-worker would have convinced me. Simultaneously working with Loan Officers, I was pre-approved, done house-hunting, and had closed on my first home before my co-worker even had the refinancing of her existing mortgage approved. Working with Dru, I always knew the answer to any of my questions was a direct phone call, email, or bank visit away. Being so accessible, he saved me the frustration and runaround I witnessed, as my co-worker called her lender, hoping that someone might finally answer the phone.

 

Although recommended by my realtor, I had already known I would work with Dru at Mutual when purchasing my first home because of my positive experience with him in the past. He didn't hesitate to act upon my request to open a Roth IRA in 2006, whereas my first inquiry into opening an IRA during my college years was treated as a joke. Trying again with Mutual, I finally felt, and still feel, like I'm viewed as a real person, rather than just a name in a client database. Now, driving between two banks to make deposits or payments is not something I will ever have to worry about again, as my checking, savings, IRA, and mortgage loan all reside at Mutual. I also credit Dru for not disappearing once the loan forms were all signed. Since closing on my home, he's been a huge help in my first homeowner crisis, has helped me to upgrade to CAP status, and will be offering his assistance in moving an unproductive investment account to Mutual.

 

I cannot thank Dru and Mutual enough for such a thorough and stress-free first time home buying experience. Others have taken notice of how happy I've been in choosing Mutual to finance this important milestone purchase, as well as continue to service my loan. I have, and will gladly continue to point friends and family in Dru's direction. The only friend with any regrets is the above mentioned co-worker who chose not to listen.
